Shawna Kitzan, Labels’ resident style expert, has a ‘worldview’ on the body–that is, she thinks of each body as its own unique globe, with an equator that divides the northern and southern hemispheres. The proportions of these hemispheres, whether symmetrical or asymmetrical, can be characterized into four broad categories that have been used for decades to analyze and style the diverse shapes and sizes we come in.
